These are costumed characters who work with and around our events to bring happiness to our children.
Happy Hearts Heroes
Love For Kids, Inc. has standard volunteers that work with events, programming, and fundraising. Then there are the Happy Hearts Heroes, the specialized volunteers for Love For Kids, Inc and its multiple divisions. These are the humanitarians who are trained to not just help with programming, but to do so in costume. They work with the children, no matter what their ability level. Our heroes readily work with challenging visibility, temperatures and other extremes caused by their attire so they might bring a character to life and delight children. Each volunteer is chosen because of their huge hearts and willingness to ensure that each child we serve has a moment of childhood.

Hearts Cadets
We believe that it is never too early to learn the value of helping others. Our cadets are the senior members of our academy. They are allowed to help at events in costume or out of as assistants to our heroes. Their efforts can earn them credit for scouts, school, mitvahs, or other organizational needs. They learn valuable lessons in social interactions, work ethics, being part of a team, creativity, planning, self-control, time management and many other valuable skills. Once they graduate from the cadet level they become fully vested Happy Hearts Heroes.
The Heroes Academy
We welcome children ages six and up to join the Heroes Academy. The Academy is designed to help children learn about being a role model to others, finding one's inner hero and using their imagination. The Academy has activities for the children to accomplish to earn points. Once the children accumulate enough points they may level up to Cadet level.
